Top Jobs For an Enterprising Personality

50 Best Jobs For Your PersonalityST. PAUL, Minn. — Research has proven that people who connect their personality types to their careers tend to have the most satisfaction and success. In his new book, 50 Best Jobs for Your Personality, Laurence Shatkin, Ph.D., compiles the best jobs for five different personalities: realistic, investigative, artistic, social and enterprising.

Those with enterprising personalities “like work activities having to do with starting up and carrying out projects, especially business ventures,” Shatkin says. “They like persuading and leading people and making decisions. They like taking risks for profit. These personalities prefer action rather than thought.”

According to Shatkin, here are four of the best jobs for people with enterprising personality types:

1. Computer and Information Systems Managers

  • Annual earnings: $115,780
  • Percent growth: 16.9
  • Annual openings: 9,710

2. Lawyers

  • Annual earnings: $112,760
  • Percent growth: 13
  • Annual openings: 24,040

3. Registered Nurses

  • Annual openings: 103,900

4. Construction Managers

Additional information can be found in 50 Best Jobs for Your Personality. The book was published in June of 2012 and is available at major bookstores, Amazon.com and jist.com.
